Acclaimed Eric Himan to Headline Acoustic Rock Performance - Proceeds to Benefit The Trevor Project

On September 25, 2010, renowned singer and songwriter Eric Himan will headline a live acoustic rock benefit to increase local awareness of The Trevor Project, the leading national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.  Proceeds from the benefit will support The Trevor Lifeline, the cornerstone program of The Trevor Project, in addition to other regional and national education outreach programs.

The event will run from 8 p.m.-midnight at The Z Lounge at 1170 22nd Street in NW.

Fashion Night Out Coming to the DC, Georgetown Morton's

On Friday, September 10, Morton's The Steakhouse on Prospect Street in Georgetown will host the "Fashion's Night Out" charity auction.  The event will run from 6:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m., and will feature local businesses raising money for Labels for Love, a charitable fashion organization.

The Morton's, located at 3251 Prospect Street just of Wisconsin Avenue, will be serving hors d'oeuvres and discount drinks.  There will also be a silent auction to support Labels for Love.  The auction will feature items from several neighborhood boutiques, including:

  • Betsey Johnson
  • Simply Soles
  • Urban Chic
  • And more!
