Key Bridge reopens after police investigation

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Law enforcement officials closed Key Bridge to investigate a report that someone jumped from the bridge on Friday morning.

The bridge reopened shortly before 7 a.m.

D.C. police,  U.S. Park Police and a D.C. Fire boat searched the area.

 

 

Police: Man hit by car in DC

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A man was hit by a car in DC today, police said. 

The incident happened around 4:44 p.m. as the man was crossing Wisconsin Avenue NW at Veazey Street near the Psychiatric Institute.  The car hit the man and he was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the car remained on the scene, police said.

Police believe the man did not appear to be on a crosswalk when the incident happened.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Dierks is a 3-year-old spaniel mix.

He can be picky when it comes to other dogs and is not too fond of cats but absolutely enjoys being around people. He likes to sit on your lap and cuddle. 

He has successfully completed his treatment from heartworm disease and is ready for a home.

You can call the Washington Animal Rescue League and see if Dierks is the right dog for your home.

The Italian retailer now open in Rockville, Maryland offers Versace and Bisazza tiles, among many others

Italo Ceramica, a ceramic tile retailer with 36 stores in Europe, celebrated the opening of its first US showroom located at 725 Rockville Pike in Rockville, Maryland this month. The Italo Ceramica team welcomed more than 120 design industry professionals, media and customers for a grand opening celebration with special guests Andrea Bacchini, North America Market Director for Imola Ceramica, Italo Ceramica’s partner, and artist Alexander Stefan, who exhibited his photography. Stefan also raffled off one of his works during the evening event.
