Who Owns D.C.'s Most Expensive Home? Now We Know.

Ever wonder who owns the most expensive home in all of Washington, D.C.?  Well now we know.

According to the real estate blog Curbed D.C., the Evermay estate, located at 1623 28th Street in Georgetown, recently sold for $22 million to a mystery buyer.

But now, according to Curbed, the mystery seems to be no more.

"Reports indicate that a couple originally from Japan, Dr. Sachiko Kuno and Dr. Ryuji Ueno, are the new owners and even though they have been in DC for a number of years they are a particularly private family," Amy Rose Dobson of Curbed writes. "But that hasn't stopped them from being uber-accomplished in the biomedical field. Together they founded a pharmaceutical company called Sucampo Pharmaceuticals, a company that holds over 650 patents worldwide for some awfully scientific work with fatty acids, including the first bioactive lipid used to treat glaucoma."
